switching to nighttime lighting

I just had the electricity company install a "time of use" meter so I can save $$ on electricity between 9 p.m. and 10 a.m. So now I have to switch from a 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. flowering schedule to 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. They put the meter in at 12:45 p.m. today, so what I did is turn off all the lights at 1 p.m. Then I set the timers for the lights to go on at 1 a.m. tonight, go off at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning, and then I'll set them to go off at 9 tomorrow night, and I'll be on a 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. schedule. Will I be messing with my plants' heads real bad, or does that sound like a reasonable plan?

Wow, sounds complicated. Just leave them in the dark till 1 am.

Either way, you should be fine. It when you give them long periods of light once they get into the 12/12 thing that you run into probs.
