T-5 450watt MH????

I thought the reason why people use t-5 florecent bulbs is to save energy. But the 8 bulb t5 uses about 480 watts.
Why would anyone use that over a 450 MH???

How much area would a 450watt mh cover, around how many plants.

Should i get a t5 8bulb or 450mh to veg?

no this is the best one but you can pick for your self i was going to get the 8 blub but itis less lummna any way you want the 118dollor one 20000 lumna i have 2 now and their so cheep to run i had 400 mh 80 a month to run now i run 2 t5ho and spend less good luck

? my 4ft 8 bulb T 5 uses 175 watts, i think. where are you getting 450 watts for T5?

Yeah, 450w sounds a little off. But so does 175w. Seems like they should be more in the 225-275w range, but thats a pure guess.
