T-5 Floro question

I just got a 4 foot T-5 light for my grow area and have 3 nice auto NL going, how far from
the plants should I lower the blub, kind of new to growing and any advice would be much
appreciated. Oh the light is a 220w unit and I have UFO led's directed on each plant also,

T5's don't put off much heat so just keep it as close as you can without the leaves growing up in to it. Anywhere from a couple of inches to a foot should be fine.

Thanks, I put it about a foot away and the really exploded in growth in the 24 hours since the new light went in. I had them under a 100w LED prior and thought they were looking pretty good, but now they look great.

You can move them closer than that. Even 3" isn't too close. Put your hand where the plant is, if you cannot feel the heat then you are fine. I have mine about 1-2" away. Just make sure they don't grow into the light as stated above.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I did move the light down to about 8 inches. I am trying to shine some UFO Led lights on them
as well to get a better spectrum. I have them sideways pointing in on each of the plants.
