T5/indoor/soil

Hi everyone!
First time t5 grow.

• 2- 50w 2' t5 high output veg bulbs.
• Random seeds
• Fox farm ocean forest soil
• 120cfm exhaust fan.
• Passive intake
• 18/6 cycle.

The setup is inside a 4'wide 2'deep 4'high armore. Aiming for a scrOg canopy.
Plants are about 7 weeks old.
Just wired them up for low stress training today, open them up a bit more. And I have to lift up the shorter plants as well. Any advice and friendly criticism are welcome.

I would recommend lowering that light about 4-5 inches so it's just above the canopy...or raise your bed, which ever is easiest...g/l

Yea, using just fluorescent lighting, you want them lights only inches away from canopy, with a light breeze to prevent burn.

Make as much canopy as you can, cuz only the top t1.5-2 inches of plant are going to get enough light to produce anything....

Remember that you want it about 3/4 full on your scrog when you flip 12/12, less will be wasteful, more will not allow the growth burst at flower....

Personally.... I would get a light to finish them, not use the seedling lamp....

Thanks! I'll be lifting up the shorter plants today.
One might have root lock and is stunted.
But we'll see. I'm not expecting a huge yield, hopefully a few ounces.

I appreciate the advice.
At the moment I don't have the funds for a dope LED or HPS. And heat has been an issue living here in the desert. I seen that they have high output t5 bulbs for flowering...but that won't do much? I wanted to add a few more larger cFLs to supplement the flowering stage...

I topped them twice thus far, and bent and tied them to the pot to open them op a bit more. How many times should I top?

And again I know I won't get too much.
Just want to see what I can get with the tool and materials available.

decent T5 bulbs of the right color temp will flower ya fine, just keep in mind, its not like growing a tree, you only have 1-2 inches of light penetration thru the canopy.... so you hope for lots of small buds across the top of your screen......

all CFL has a super low penetration, but if you cant afford a 250-400w HPS, than any CFL you toss at it is obviously just a table lamp bulb... id skip that... save for something else, even another T5 if you can....

Surround it with light, because the light isnt getting thru the canopy like MH/HPS or high power LEDs....
