T5s for veg

I was wondering if T5s would be suitable lights to sustain my plants for the whole veg cycle? I know they are great for clones. I have 4ft 4bulb T5s in my veg room and plan on adding more. Would they be good to sustain my mother plants also. If so I would probably invest in more of them. I plan on running clones and mother plants all in the same veg room.:leaf:

I've been using a 4 ft 6 bulb t-10 fixture for over 2 years now. It works well enough for the plants to stay healthy. But if you have a strain that tends to stretch it would be a good idea to supplement extra cfl bulbs that can be hung vertically around the plant(s) to ensure the nodes stay night and tight. But that t-5 should put out quite a bit more than my fixture so I don't see you having many issues with that.

Been using T5's for more than a year and have good results, I even flower with them, changing the bulbs to 3000K lamps, having a small grow set up mine is only 2ft 2 bulb and I can grow 3 plants at a time, planning to buy more in the future.

Some people do it yes. I would personally go with t-5's for clones and then break out the 1000's for vegging.

I run one t12 daylight along with my cfl's but i was told t12's are the least efficient fluoro, any truth to that?

Love my t-5's.
My buddy has 2 t-5's over his monsterous berry bomb mother.
Got my t-5 over 4 plants right now ready to go under my 400hps.
Only problem is if you use them consistantly like i do,the bulbs only last about a year, and the good high output bulbs can get expensive.I just buy them by the case, since i have 3 t-5's.
