T8 LED conversion

Has anyone tried the LED conversion tubes? Maybe not the best for a full grow but for supplemental or sidelighting during flower, they can't hurt, right?http://ledt8bulb.com
I'm wading into LED and can't swallow the 600 bucks for a quality light yet so maybe these are a cheaper alternative to help get my feet wet? My flower boxes are 22x18x48. Big enough for 1 to 3 girls but mainly 1 or 2 so I don't need a giant unit but I also don't want to sacrifice too much quality. A good bang for your buck light is what we're all after.

Be weary of those tubes. Cree did a recall a few months ago on their tubes. They were starting fires. They would work great for veg though. I'd think you'd need a lot more for flower. I've never seen anyone flower with those anyway. Go with cobs like Mc said ^^^
