Hey guys and gals,
35 gallon airpot Apollo 13bx grown in promix bx. Only been fed compost tea, alfalfa tea and more so in flower been using General Organics flowering, veg, boost, camg, alternating every water. About a week ago noticed some leaves isolated to a few branches that had what I've seen described as 'taco shell'. Thought it may have been dehydration as we've had some cranking hot temps here lately (although all other areas of plant look healthy, even areas on the same branches remain unaffected). With no change with the good deep water I gave a foliage spray with Epsom salts which at first I thought helped some branches. Noticed today the discolouration and appears the thinning leaves are back.

My lil lady is still in veg n I'm experiencing the same problem. I'm also going all natural, so I'm not using any bottled nutes n I've amended my own super/living soil. Like yourself, I've only been feeding my soil compost teas that I brew with alfalfa n kelp meal as of right now. Getting the same taco leave scene n was wondering if it was a calmag issue as well. The only difference is I'm also experiencing what looks like a nute burns as well. Keep you progress updated here, cause I would love to know how you went about fixing it. Hope you get it all straightened out n I'm subbed from here. Good luck!
 
Tacoing leaves can be caused by changes in humidity, ph or light stress. Since the op is outdoors it could be the first two. There's a variety of things that can cause tacoing just figure out what changed and your answer will present itself.

It has been a stinking hot wet summer and with another plant also suffering from some powdery mildew I at first thought humidity / dehydration issue. Weather the past few weeks has been a lot drier and the girls have been getting ample water with still no change. Just gave another high dose feed with extra CaMg on top of the previous two Epsom foliar sprays. Rest of the plant looks great and appears the one branch is struggling through, Slightly improved but appears the damage was already done with the deficiency. IMG_2411.JPG

In my case, much hasn't changed.. I have in same location n same lights. I'm looking more into the ph, cause as I did make a compost tea n remove all the chlorine n chloramine, I don't think I've ph' the water prior to making the brew n feeding. Awesome insight LordHooha... kinda feel like ya right here growing with me! Truly appreciated!

Your still looking beauty as hell Aussie! Regardless of the tacking leaves, ya doing an awesome job. I would check one of the 3 that Lordhooha stated, cause I believe I found what was caused the problem within mine. Keep us updated n let us know of your success

Still on going. The thing that really has me stumped is the fact it's isolated to this one branch. Everything else is charging.

I didn't notice b4, but you should ask someone about the yellowing n then burning of the tips. I'm very far from an expert, but I think that might be due 2 a deficiency. Try google or YouTube n ask about the tips. It might all be connected. As I said b4, she's still a gorgeous young lady. I'm gonna go check n see what I can find out as well

Good logical thinking there mate. Just went and checked the branch over with a fine tooth comb. There's no rhyme or reason to the sickness. It's all isolated to the one branch, but not the proximal or distal end, (sick branch, healthy, sick, sick, healthy). Who knows. At least the rest is thriving.
 
Could you have some burrowing insect? Check the stem for any holes - right below the point where it's getting sick maybe.
 
I've now noticed it on a separate plant (separate strain too to eliminate variables) wasn't anywhere near this plant for contagion. Not as severe. Absolutely stumped again. Previous plant is still dealing with it but growing none the less. Still getting the burnt looking leaves towards the bottom and tacos at top. Never though I'd be upset about tacos.

its strange the way a few of the leaves have folded down and sagged as if they've got N tox (but I don't think they are)....

have you added any kelp or amino acids lately, anything with hormones?
are they getting too much rain/water/over watered?

and then you've got taco leaf which to me looks like magnesium def, but its weird the way its localized to the top only so im not positive about it

id spray them3x every 3 days with 1/2 tsp Epsom salt

you've got nothing to lose, and it wont do any harm to the plant what so ever, and it might just fix the taco

Good suggestions mate. Will try the Epsom x 3 as you say if there's no issue over foliage feeding. I hit them hard with foliar Epsom when I first noticed and also upped the camg with feeding which I thought helped a little. Definitely didn't cure it though. Like I said though, baffles me it is localized to certain parts of a branch, no rhyme or reason.
Watering not an issue. I've stayed on top of them and kept them perfectly hydrated all summer I feel. Also not thinking aminos as I've added kelp meal and a few good feeds of compost tea while still in veg.
I'll get heavy on the camg foliar spray and report back.
