Take clones from an outdoor plant and growing indoors - doable?

Is it possible to take clones from an outdoor plant and grow them indoors? Have some that I started outside, topped and rooted the tops; now curious if I can take those rooted clones (3) and put them indoors under 600 watts of MH and then (the more scarey side) 2000 watts of HPS. OR if it's possible to bring inside, should I just run the 2K watts of HPS with the 600 watts of MH and side light with a mix of ( T-5's and T-12's, and (15) daytime CFL's on offset rails and when it comes time to go 12/12, kill all but the HPS's? I plan to do one in coco (20 ga pot and use just under a KG of coco, the brand is "BotaniCare CocoGro and the Lucas formula with Flora brand... yes, I got CalMag for the coco grow) and the other two I want to do in my homemade aero-buckets ( I think it's a snazzy design myself). I have (2) 35 gallon res's and a pump that is way overkill (3840 GPH) I had to add regulator valve and flow bypass to keep the pressure down; since I decided to go with fewer buckets than originally intended. What really blows though is I built this massive aero bucket system and got paranoid about running such a big op and concerns over shelf life since I'm not growing to sell. Truthfully, I grow for two reasons, it brings me some kind of peace and serenity that I can't explain when I'm with those plants (might sound fruity, but i develop a relationship with them) and I don't want to do business with criminals in order to supply my wife with the only think that helps with her illness. Granted not all sellers are criminals; but you just really don't know what your getting unless you do it yourself. I've had people flip when I pull out my 40x scope to inspect the product and haul my own scales; then there are the little bastards that weigh in the bag and don't tare the scales with the bag on it; they screw you out of a gram or more depending on the bag. I hate thieves, cheats and liars. I admit, I did do a grow once for profit, and I would trim the stems a short as possible and ensure the buyer was getting what they paid for; for me it was more about reputation, pride, integrity and quality of workmanship more than the optimum dollar. I veg'd for 7 months (didn't know any better) but it paid off from what I'm told and I'm glad I didn't rush them. I cured it properly in a temperature controlled environment in jars and some as long as three months; until it was optimum. I'd have it sampled weekly and made notes in code; once it peaked, I let that select group of friends I sold to sample it and let them tell me what they thought it was worth and then discount it. Then they would apologize for only paying 30 a g for it; that was my first grow too. I guess I'm blessed with the knack for growing or just got lucky; I had no clue what I was doing, I just followed the plants. I did encounter every issue along the way (accept insects; room was sealed well, insulated, etc). I only sold to three friends and one was reselling, a 1/2 lb went in a snap and I had to start turning them down because my wife needed it and they were trying to get me to do a big grow; but since Rule #1 had been broken (even though they are trustworthy) I wouldn't do it. That was my first and only grow and I really didn't think a single one would even sprout; but I ended up with a jungle and had to wipe out nearly 100 plants and picked out what I thought were the best 8 (hard to gauge having been a novice and technically still am) went by the plant characteristics (went mainly for the sativa's and did no pruning, topping or fimming; all things I've since learned about). I did have one major disappointment though (not part of the final one plant was 7-1/2 feet tall (in veg) and when I went 12/12 it hermied on me; well, actually it went monoecious and I didn't have the capability to put it in separate quarters to support it, didn't want the hassle of having to keep on top of clipping off the male flowers before they opened and mainly didn't want to risk any of my females getting pollinated, so it got whacked. In hindsight, I should have thrown it outside and if it survived, it would have probably produced a nice quantity of material for oil or hash. Now, a couple of years have passed, so I'm embarking on 3 plants (with no ones knowledge; not even the family) instead of 8. After that initial experience and the passing of all this time with no heat, I think I'm prepared now for another grow; only smaller and with no intent sell or reveal the source; even to my wife. Good god, my Mitchner complex has reared it's ugly head again and a simple question has turned into a freakin autobiographical novel; sorry about that. Anyway, the three tops have rooted (in peat pellets surrounded by Hydroton) and the originals are being re-located to a spot that I have pain painstakingly sought out and carefully prepared. It's perfect, 25 yards from a non-traveled path, 85 yards from the nearest house and completely surrounded by high vegetation and trees, but there's no blockage overhead and having checked at various times they will receive full sun most of the day; guaranteed 10 hours or more. The small animal fence has been built, the Animal deterrent has been purchased (Repels All) and deer bait has been purchased to entice them in an alternate direction. OK...The answer is...YES. Yes you can take clones from outdoors and grow them indoors.

If you wanted to do it the other way around...indoors to outdoors. Then it would take a bit more time. But that's not what your asking.

I can't smoke; disagrees with my body (which sucks) but the title covered the question pretty much in full. Short version: I have three skunky ass female plants. I cloned the little fuckers and want to know if it's possible to take my rooted clones indoors; I want to do one in coco and fim, the other two in my aero system. Have all the shit to do it, just need to know if it's feasible so I don't waste my time. If it seems like I'm coming across as an asshole don't take it that, I'm sorry and it's not directed at you; I'm dealing with a needy, sad sack, always has a problem friend that I've had to bail out of ruin on more occasions than I care to count at the moment and I'm trying to focus on this. Haha no your not coming across as an a-hole. I should be the one apologizing...my 1st post was a little harsh and only a joke. I can tell your a very kindhearted person, so I will help out the best I can. I can't really add anymore to my answer...yeah you should have no problem growing your rooted clones indoors. I have never done an aero system grow. I have always just used good ol soil in my indoor grows. As long as your clones have good roots you should just be able to set them up in your system and really have almost no stress or loss of grow time. The only thing you might see a small problem with is the plants might have a few pests on them...so I would keep them away from any other plants that you may have growing indoors.

Taking indoor plants and moving them outdoors is a bit different. Indoor plants need to be moved in and out for about a week to get them use to everything, light,wind,temp,pests and rain. Throwing an indoor plant outside without this buffering period is like, throwing a home-schooled kid straight into regular high school...he's going to get fuked with.

I only read the first sentence, but going off the title of your post, your asking about taking cuttings from outside plants and bringing them indoors. I do this all the time while my plants are still in their veg state, but you have to be a little careful.

Outdoor plants almost always have pests. When you bring them inside, a small number of pests can easily turn into an outbreak. The best time to cut is right after you sprayed your plants. Some people make a solution and dip the entire plants. I usually just hand rub the leaves, wash them in soap & water, then dust them in DE.

Plants that were from outside never get to interact with indoor plants.
