Taking down the Tobacco Companies!!!

So the idea came from my wife, we were sitting around smoking when i lit a cigarette. she looked at me and said "if i could smoke weed all the time i wouldn't smoke cigarettes anymore" well it hit me Designer weed!!

I know, i know, designer weed is nothing new, how ever if one where to say cross a Kush (or any desired strain) with a non-psychoactive industrial hemp strain and was able to remove the THC content then you would theoretically have Kush without THC...now put that in packs of 20 and you have a non-carcinogenic, good tasting, great smelling cigarette.

I realize industrial hemp is still illegal in the US, but imagine if that where lifted and we got some breeders to produce the seeds for us....imagine grabbing a pack of 'Space Queen' cigarettes....

the tobacco companies would probably jump on it and just add their poisons to it. the tobacco itself isnt that bad for you its all the other bullshit they put in the cigs.

Ive had the oportunity to smoke as much weed as i wanted...literally all day every day for years (in the past) and still smoked cigs. itsa great thought but in reality ppl smoke cause they like smoking. If it worked for ya to quit kudos but it didnt for me =/

haha yea same her... i just keep my cigs in a different places now so i dont think about it... lol

Yeah, i understand that...it is refereed to as a smoker's personality. The idea is a smoker will only be satisfied by the taste, smell, and effect of their brand, my mom (reformed smoker) would drive to 3 different gas stations looking for her brand...she would never settle. So there would be resistances from established smokers...

Also i was thinking about the second post last night and came up with a way to remove the Tabacco companies (for a minute anyways). If the breeding is started say now, it could be perfected, once the ban is lifted the Tobacco companies will be scrambling to produce products for mass market...this means testing, development, testing, and of course growing. Again if we develop this NOW you would have a good window while other genetics are developed. Granted the tobacco companies have unlimited resources, they still have to develop the strain, the plants will only grow so fast.

This project would be best left to an established seed bank (as their branding will be required)...

sounds like a cool idea. thatd be nice to leave a little bit of THC in them so u get a small buzz, sorta like a cig.

also i heard a long time ago that monsanto(i think) is already getting into the weed business. i read in the newspaper theyre looking into making nutes for weed. i wish i could remember exactly what it said
