Taking pot from US into Canada

My buddy and I are going to be heading to BC this winter to do some snowmobiling and we want to bring some personal stash across the border. We have thought about just buying it from someone at a bar, but we can't stomach the possibility that we might strike out and go dry for the whole trip.

Does anyone know what the best way to mask scent? I have a real good hiding spot, so I'm not worried that the border patrol might find it. I'm more worried about a dog smelling it and alerting the guards. I've heard about vacuum sealing the pot/pipe and slathering the outside with Vaseline. Does this really work?

The hiding spot will be in the airbox of my snowmobile.... they'd basically have to take the engine apart to find it.

dude, this is like taking oil to Saudi Arabia. You barely have to breathe the word 'smoke' in BC before someone dumps a truckload of it on you.

When I visit BC ( Family lives there ) Bud is the least of your worries to find.

If you are realy still worried, you could try mailing it to yourself if you have somewhere to mail to.

umm... I wouldn't recommend posting buds across an international border. Things have changed since 9/11- almost all intl mail gets x-rayed these days.

I'm with you guys. I'm gonna have to crack my friend over the head and tell him to buck up! I have faith in my pot-radar.... but his sucks apparently. He went into a bar one night around here asking people for smoke.... apparently the first person he asked was an off duty cop. The cop didn't say anything right away, but said "Yea sure! Here is my card.". When my buddy looked at the card it had the local Sheriffs Office seal and the officers name on it. The cop was drunk and thought the whole thing was hilarious.... obviously he really doesn't care much about he law since he left the bar completely blitzed that night and drove home.

I think he's been sketchy about asking ever since.
