Tea leaf`s and White widow

i was speaking to pro gardener last week and he mentioned that tea leafs or good for plants and i must admit i have heard of this before
can anyone spead some light on this subject ?????

They are mentioned as organic nutrients in the organic section of RIU but that's all I know.
