tea questions from first time TLO

this is my first TLO grow and I am confused about teas. do I need to let the ingredients cook in the sun like the soil recipies or do i put them in like a nylon stocking in the water and let it sit for days, or can I use it the same day I put the ingredients in the water? also can i mix the ingredients in directly with the water or do i need a filter?

Don't let it cook in the sun. You will kill off most of the beneficial microbs with direct light.
I just use a 2g bucket with 1g of chlorine free water a cheap air pump and bubble rocks toss all the other ingredients in and let bubble for at least 24 hrs then strain the water and dilute with another gallon of chlorine free water to make it 2g then water my plants
