the temp in the grow room is in the high 50's at night. i thought a 2 250w HPS lights would fix that. but they put out a lot less heat than i thought. is a space heater going to give me any trouble? room is 6x6x8tall. open to all advice!!!

i suffer from low temps at nite so with my next grow im hoping to have the lights on over nite and off during the day
i am on a electric token meter so every watt i can save by not using heaters is beneficial for me

i have a heater near my intake to warm the air going in.....put it on a thermostadt and put the thermo inside the grow space and the heater outside...it will control itself

i had the same problem, but my ventilation may have been better. ive got a dryer exhaust hole through my floor bringing fresh cold air in... i put my $25 Dollar General ocsillating heater ( seen em at BigLots too ) in front of that hole blowing the heat/fresh air into my small circulation fan. the combination produces no dry leaves, 2 fans blowing creates even more airflow, plus the temperature problem is solved.
the heater has a thermostat that works quite reliably, it oscillates, and you can turn the heat off and use the fan only. id recommend it for the price.

just to make sure we are all on the same page, we add the humidifier when adding the heater (or heat ) because warmer air holds more water? And there fore hotter air sucks the water out of the planters and our plants dry out? The humidifer adds to the RH and keeps the water nutes in check correct?
Thanks
