Temp Issues need advice

So I have a small area that I am dealing with. During the veg stage I was using flourescents which worked out perfect. Now that I have switched to flower I put in my hps 400 watt. With the 400watt the temp changed 20degrees. I switched to my smaller 150watt and the temp raised less but still made the leaves curl. I can not put an exhaust in this area which is my issue. Do you think I can get away with using the hps for only 3 of the 12 hrs and use flourescents the rest? Should I try to just raise the light farther away? The temp in the room rises to 80 degrees.

80 degree temps are fine 60 degree temps are not ideal to grow in, if the plant is weathered to that temp, there will be nothing you can do but allow the plant to adjust to the new temps. if your ambient temps in the house around the grow are below 70 and your temps are too hot (85+) then it is clear you need more exhaust pulling out more air faster.

also a aircooled hood would be a good thing to look into or even just a fan blowing across the bare bulbs. i use bare bulbs 400w MH in a 2x4x5 with a 4" inline and carbon filter pulling about 100cfm, and my ambient temps are around 65 and the grow room temp only gets to about 75.(the other tent is bare bulb too, but i use a 300cfm exhaust temps rarely go above 70)
