Temp

Hey all iv got a lil problem...iv got a fan mounted in the top of my closet to keep temp down.But now the temp is 26c-34c.what i want 2 know is could i put a bowl of ice in front of the fan 2 cool it down when it hits 32c-34c???
Also iv got 1 lil hole in the back of the closet 4 the cords bout the size of a golf ball....what i want 2 know is would this hole be big enugh 4 a good air flow???(cus every 3-4hours i have 2 open the door to cool it down from 34c to 28c) N idk i think the sudden change of temp could be bad...Any help would be great

you can put anything cold in there to drop the temp like my cold heart. lol on a more serious note, you have a heat issue. 26 is what you are shooting for. that 34 is going to kill your crop. you have to find a way to regulate your heat. can you cut the hole to fit a fan into it? you need to find a way to get more airflow in to balance it with your heat to keep a constant temperature. a bowl of ice will do what you are looking it to do, but you don't understand what will happen. that ice will melt and throw off your humidity levels. now you have alot of moisture in the air that can screw up your lights. find a way to constantly be introducing air into your grow enviornment.

LOL.No i carn't cut a hole cus im trying 2 keep it 2 my self and not let my housemates find out... but could i open the closet n sit a fan in front of the door every 2-4hours to get the temp down or will the change of temp fu*k with the plants...or is there any other way (AT ALL)

thanks mogie...russOr iv cut a hole just a little bigger than that at the top of my closet but iv got the fan tied up there faceing down at the plants...will this just blow the hot air back down or should i move the fan down in till the plants grow a bit???

oh so now I see, you were willing to cut a larger hole to put a fan in it. thought that was what my post said also. oh well?

no i didn't want 2 but its a last resort 4 now...cus i dont want these 1's to die to..and sorry bout that last post i thought u ment cut a hole as big as the fan and have it blowing in..again sorry..

you want a fan in the hole, blowing out of the room, into your wall, that will remove heat.

Yes this will just blow the hot air back down at the plants. Hot air rises so you want to use that fan to pull the hot air out of the grow space(should be at the top of room). If you just reverse the wires on your fan it will spin the other way and and pull the air out. You will also need another fan about the same size close to the bottom of the room to blow cool fresh into the grow space.
