tempature...quick question for tent indoor grow...autoflower

I'm just started a.few autoflower strains in a grow tent in my room. It's starting to get really fuckin hot where I live and I want to know if putting a air conditioner in my room is ok.. will the cold kill my plants or does the tent keep heat within itself.

What lights do you use?
I use a grow tent with a 400w hid but it got so hot in there with the heat lately i bought a 200w cfl and it solved the problem straight away.

Im using cfl i got 12 26w running right now. I dont think the lights are causing the heat problem my room just happens to get hotter then hell in the summer, but im scared that the ac will destroy my crops. I cant find any info on this on the web i guess no one else has this problem.

If possible you can set up your timers so your light doesn't run during the warmer part of the day. for instance my lights are off 10am to 6pm. That way it will keep it warm at night when it's cold and cooler in the day when it's warm.

an ac will not kill your plants. marijuana likes to grow in 60-70 degrees F. it can grow higher and lower than hat but this may cause slowed growth/ development.

Awsome thx everyone ok just make sure my room using a ice box...n yea I have my lights off around the time I go to bed but I didn't expect my cfl to rly make a temp difference...also has anyone herd of an ioniser or somthing like that, its a way to get rid of the smell. My dad told me about it n said it works but you can't but it in the same room as your grow.cause then ur plants won't have a smell...I'm tryin to find a simple way to get rid od the smell,I'm growin three plants in a tent so any advise of any kind would help

carbon filter, are you using an extraction fan? theres plenty on here if you want to make your own, the ioniser i tried was not worth a shite, house still stunk(of weed). the fucking thing made a silly whiring noise that nearly had me falling asleep on my plants!, i think they are ok for smaller odours(farts) but with the amount of air i pull in and out of the room they were really struggling and did not make a difference, but then again they were only cheap ones.

my plants just sprouted this weekend and i have no type of filter as of now just two fans for fresh air....this is my first indoor grow so i really dont no anything about getting rid of the smell. i read all day and from what i can see carbon filters are the way to go...Ive only seen a couple fourums that actually explain the set up so i still really confused...how much i this going to cost me? and can i get all the material at a home depot. If anyone as any goos sites or step by step instruction let me know...thxxx
