tent setup help

im goin to be getting an 8 by 8 veg and bloom tent running 5 6500k cfls and a 600 watt hps. Is it a cheap place to get a ventilation fan at or do i need it? And if so i have no place to run it? I need somethin for the smell idealy but not too worried bout it cuz nobodys knowing bout it but in case someone comes over? And i never grew in a tent before so do i need to worry bout burning the house down or if i keep good air flow will it b straight?? Cuz i dont have a ventilation fan but i have 3 oscillating fans, one pointed at the light, one in veg, and one in flower room??

have you ever grown before? You have to have ventilation in a tent. And a tent that size is gonna need some good fans pulling air out/in. for an 8'x8' tent I'd use 4 600W lights. One will almost be useless. Carbon filters will be a must if you don't want your whole house to stink (In a good way though hahaha)

Yeah ive grew alot in my past, jus starting back up and never used a tent before, jus using this one cuz it was gave to me for free and u know where i can get a 2 way ventilatation fan, and cant i make a cheap carbon filter? Sorry im on a budget, single dad problems. Im tired of payin for the shit when i know i can grow it. im ready to bring my light outta retirement and not bs this time so could u help me out on this haha

haha, ya there is a diy carbon filter thread here somewhere. I've never made one so I wouldn't be able to give you accurate advice on that. Tents are awesome! I love mine, bought one 18 months ago, now I have 3 hahaha. So I'm assuming the tent has a divider to make 2 4'x8' rooms right? So 2 600W HPS, and 2 600W MH is what I'd use for now...or you could section it smaller and just use 1 600W. If you look online I'm sure you could find 2 6" exhaust fans and that'd probably do the job...one fan per side. Carbon filter would obviously be hooked up on the flower side. passive intake would probably be ok...it's all I use. Are you going to be in dirt or hydro or soiless?

Yeah it has a divider and where i live that much wattage would attract the wrong people so ill stick wit my cfls and my one hps cuz cant risk it but id love to do that, but i hear ya and where can you get a carbon filter at? And im doin soil with the green of sea method

cool, I've never tried sea of green...sure looks awesome though! I got my filter at a local hydro store, but it wasn't cheap. I'm sure you can order them online from amazon and pay a fraction of what mine cost...You've got some time for that though since they don't really stink until a week or two into flower....but then it just keeps getting stronger and stronger

Yeah i cant wait to do the sog method cuz ive cloned before jus never thought bout budding them early like that and yeah i know i jus like to be prepared before hand so i found a way to make a carbon filter for like 20$ and its fairly simple

Id put the 600 watter oin one side for bloom and the cfls on the veg clone side.You can get decent cheap fans on ebay or go to home depot and buy couple of the inline duct fans the 6 inch one usually run about $25 ish each then get cheap extention cord cut it and just wire it to the fan and you have a normal plugged fan....Sounds like you found the carbon filter thread. In this setup I would grow with a simple 4x4 flood table or aero buckets to get max yeild from the area.

Sorry to jump in but I was wondering if there was a way to make a tent out of metal framing like they make shelves out of instead of 2x4s and panda plastic. (Only have hand tools)

This guy sounds like he is interested in the budget aspect as well so I'm sure the info wouldn't be absolutely irrelevant ..

I only have a 400w MH to work with right now anyways and a bunch of cpu fans.

Yeah that's what I had planned and I'll need 2 duct fans? And where would b the best place to send the air, basement?
And I was just drawing up some prints for a aero garden today and I want to do a 30 site, would you know a cheap alternative and if so could you give me the steps to make??

You can get some pbc piping and you can get a roll of that panda plastic for $15-20
