me too.......wondering about residual solvent.....thinking grain alcohol, need to do some research....also planning on making some coco butter....just ordered a table mount stainless fruit press...and 108 oz..coconut oil.

Here are my experiences from making RS oil using a mixture of mostly Pandora's Box stems, sugar trim, and buds, but also threw in a handful of little buds from multiple other strains I had collected. I made it using Everclear grain alcohol, and then used the oil to make cannacaps with some extra virgin coconut oil. I LOVE THEM!
And here we have some cannacaps I made. They are a concoction of Rick Simpson oil I extracted from the stalks, stems, leaves, and some buds from the Pandora and also some other bits of multiple strains that I collected. I tried to shoot for a ratio of 70% stems stalks and fan leaves to 30% THC rich buds for a more healing, sedative, and analgesic effect. I warmed the oil and then mixed it with some raw extra virgin coconut oil and filled into large empty medicine-caps.
For me they have been great for controlling chronic pain in my sciatic nerve and help me sleep great. I have a friend who has trouble with restless leg syndrome and he tested the recipe out for me as well. He has a lower tolerance than I do and said that one cap made him feel like he was on acid for 2 hours before it faded into a glorious body high which helped him fall asleep with NO problems with restless leg! Obviously an acid trip is not needed though so he just takes about a 3rd of a cap now before bed with great results helping him sleep with no leg problems
I am very happy with this batch of caps and will continue to experiment with this sacred healing oil.

I should also add that my procedure of making the RS oil was very easy. I soaked the cannabis and agitated it in EVERCLEAR alcohol for about 5 minutes, strained it, and did a second 5 second wash on the cannabis with more alcohol. I then mixed the two washes and cooked it away in a small crock pot until it was almost all the alcohol was gone, then poured it in a small glass dish and continued heating it carefully over low heat until no trace of alcohol could be smelled.

Nice! I was thinking of combining a JTR leaning pheno of Chernobyl and some Harlequin in one batch. With Chernobyl's high thc and thcv, and Harlequins crazy high cbd, hopefully it would be a winning combo? I was just looking for some insight from folks who may have done it before. Thanks for posting friend.

I believe it is the JTR that Sub says is his Hash strain, would seem like a good oil strain. I'm getting ready to make BHO Oil out of the Cheese pheno of Dairy Queen, its very resinous and high the.

i for one am really looking forward to the tga cbd-rich strain....can't come soon enough........decided to make a strong batch of canna coco-butter, instead of oil for now, for a topical, and edible.....will be using my d-train (white domina x qt)......looking forward....got my crock pot ready to go........hey guys, what are your thoughts on decarboxylation....i plan on baking my herb at 250 degrees for 30 minutes.....my recipe is 4 cups organic coco-oil, 40-50 grams high grade, crock pot 4 hours.........strain/refrigerate.......any thoughts?

Ah yes brothers thats what I've been wanting to do. I make oil for myself, I have cancer and want to cross JTR with Tsunami-cannatonic and a cross with tsunami-harlequin. I only got Qtrain going right now but hoping to find a JTR clone with a known high THCV number some how.
So it looks like most of these higher cbd stains have phenotypes with THC;CBD ratios that are all over the place. If one can't get cuttings that have been tested it will be a crap shoot finding a mom with the ratios you want.
It takes a lot of material to suppy just one patient needs. I'm in the central valley and outdoor got banned here so i don't know what I'm going to do with out the yields of a outdoor grow. Growing inside or going to dispensaries just doesn't work when you need to consume 1-2 grams of full met a day. Fucking sucks that something that can be grown for next to nothing is so expensive....
