:mrgreen: Detroit is saying NO to Nickleback playing at Ford Field on Turkey Day ( GB vs Detroit )...lol...I couldn't agree more. Why Nickleback? Throw someone in there with Kid Rock , someone with some class, fuck...I'd rather see them release Ted Nugent from his cage with a dusty guitar than watch Nickleback...lol...just my 2 cents.

I hope Detroit shows some class and at least boos them off the stage...it's hard to find things to throw that far anymore.

That's pretty lame. Seriously? Nickelback? These halftime shows seem to suck more and more every year so why not just make it totally horrible and have an onstage reunion of like the Monkees and William Hung from American Idol.
 
at least it won't be hank JR singing in spanish . It could be worse . I vote buckethead and arron lewis just get up there and come up with something last min it would be better then most .
 
I know. Bring out some old Detroiter like Bob Segar in a wheelchair...that would at least be entertaining.
Or why not Alice Cooper...he's from Detroit....Kid Rock would of put on a great show, you can throw any has-been in with him and make it look good.

Ill tell you exactly why Detroit choose Nickelback. They want to drive people out of the seats during half time so they will go spend money on conccessions and booze. Duh its a sales tactic. Clearly its backfiring.

For fucks sake...when I started this thread it was just to be funny...now I see petitions for them not to play...lol...it's not a concert, it's a football game, what do they get ? 2 songs ?...I say fuck the petition and buy a ticket...if they suck , throw shit at them. Like the Russian boxer who wouldn't continue his fight against Tyson...lol...he got everything from drinks to chairs thrown at his face...he should of just took a knockout....it's Detroit, we just make them never want to come back.

The radio idiots were saying that the singer doesn't want to do the gig anyways...someone throw something for me if they fuck it up, I don't want to have to get my boots on and go down there!

...the score will be bad enough at that point.
 
you know what, it's fucking Motown - why not have Urethra Franklin or some other cool 60's Motown hero sing during halftime??? Makes sense, it is Detroit. WAY better than Nickelback btw.
