So wats this holiday all about yanks?? Is it a holiday which gives thanks to native americans for giving up their land ??

Nah, it is more about family and food these days. I have no gripe about it personally. It provides a rare time of family togetherness without the hypocritical religious umbrella.
Apparently it is now about shopping too. Read how the Bobbies got called in on hose rowdie Mancusians. I thought it was just us.

Oh, and they didn't give up their land. It was taken from them just like all the other lands on Earth. I know, I used to be a Mongol.

Turkey stuffing and pot roast chicken......bit like Xmas but a different day. ....shit fed up and morge like ;)....bit like britians weather....ahhhhhh.....scream....soooooo fed up!!!

Its about being thankful for the fall harvest and celebrating by eating a delicious dinner from the harvest. Nothing to do with native americans

I ate a meal with my parents and my kids last night. Not a turkey in sight. Salad and veggie burgers for fuck sake.

Thanks mum.
We went camping years back. Apparently we had fallen behind on the raccoon behavior arms race. These brazen fucks would sneak up behind you and grab your weenies when you were right there! And there must have been a gang of them, they cleaned us out in twenty seconds. Except for the soy stuff. Those clever bastards dropped them about two feet from the picnic table. So the vegetarians were real smug. I felt it was a strange reaction to one's food being rejected by raccoons.
