We just had a grand-kid.. my folks sent us a ton of Christmas stuff... including Candy for the new born... (intended for her mom and dad..) not Grandma and Grumpa.. we seriously considered taking a few... we told them last night and she replied.. you were LITERALLY gonna steal candy from a baby.. we had not thought of it that way as we have been "making sure it was edible" as our intents..
