I saw this page linked in another thread, really got me thinking how nice they could be
http://www.earthtainer.org/About_Us.html
Has anyone seen them before, maybe used them? I'm thinking they could have good results, with that reservoir you can plant in different places and not necessarily be tied to planting near water all the time.
Thing is, could you bury these suckers and would they still work? I'd want the "stealth" aspect of burying them. But not sure if that would compact the air layer too hard, also you'd have to find a slightly different way to deal with the overflow hole.
Still they look interesting to me. Look at those bushes they grow in em, lol! I also like the overall project itself, seems like a real good thing for the world. These can grow legit food in really hot droughty climates of the word with very cheap materials, good on them for just giving away the design as freeware. I hope these catch on, they are cheap to build and can provide people food. Just saw em today and ideas started swirling in my head lol.
