The "ice thing" and does it work

Okay so im nearing the end of my flowering... day 52 and im telling one of my buddies about it (my first grow and I feel it went great , but much collaboration got me there) anyways he says are you going to do the ice thing... ive read alot of books so i figured he meant hash but he says that instead of just flushing 2 days before (ive been doing it for last 5 or 6 days anyways) but 2 days before chopping soak the pots with ice... get tons of ice and soak and soak. Supposedly the plant makes one last push?? I know to check on here though and get a general concensus. Anyone else done this?

Never heard of it and dont flush ...the last 2 weeks you shoulf stop giving nutes and watrr them normally

Flushing was the wrong thing to say.. ive been giving them regular water with cal mag added (25% recomended amount)

U should start the normal watering the last two weeka of flower so u get about 5 good waterings in

Ive heard this years ago to induce some color, but from what I know now, Id just bring the temp down some if I wanted that
