Thought I would post this in the Mi section being that most of the members I know here with Jeeps are Michiganders like myself ..
I love Jeeps more than any other Utility Vehicle and thought I would see what others are driving and customizing ..

Give some detail too , if you are a serious Jeep owner it will be easy to do !

My Daily Driver -

94 Zj ( Grand Cherokee Laredo ) 4x4
231 transfer case swap
318 small block 5.2 liters - Soon to be stoked
4" Rubicon Express lift
31 x 10 x 15 -General Grabbers and a set of 31x 10 x 15- Good Year AT's
Cold Air Intake
Flow Master super 44 Exhaust
ARB Bull Bar
G.P.S. - Garmin
Remote Start-BullDog

There , that starts it off even though I have more modifications than posted ..

Okay fellas.

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 4.0, straight 6, Cooper AT tires, 160,000 miles. All Stock with the exception of the tires. This is my winter vehicle.

I also have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Limited, 4.0, straight 6, Cooper AT tires, 120,000 miles. All stock with the exception of the tires. This one I only drive in the summer, garage kept.

I had to choose wisely with my vehicles. I put at least 40,000 miles on my vehicles each year. Living up north I needed something 4WD. I chose the Jeep Cherokee because they are known to run for a long time, decent gas mileage (22 MPG), and I like the full front axle in lieu of CV joints. If gas prices were not up so darn high I would consider paying a mechanic to install a 350 Chevy 4-bolt in one of my jeeps. I have looked at kits to do so, just not able to handle the fuel cost.

Very nice GrowGodess , you have two reliable real tried and true vehicles there to last a long time .. I feel you on the gas factor , my Grand with its setup gets 12 mpg if your lucky .. Put it in 4 low and off road and you might need a second job like me lol ..

A classic man , I favor the older ones myself . My 94 is where I drew the line .. I dont care for the 95 makes and up due the obd -2 and newer diagnostics .. I like things simple though and less complicating. Thinking of hunting down a older Wagoneer for the wife and kids this spring ..

Wife drives a 2005 grand laredo and I drive a 96 sport straight 6 with 150k on her, It has been down the last couple of weeks, wouldn't start all of a sudden so It took me a couple of weeks learning the electrical system of cars before I could diagnose it was a bad cam shaft sensor aka pickup coil. I have a brand new in the box 3in rough country lift kit that was in the back seat when I bought her just need to find the time to install.

94 YJ, ford 302 4bblwith a np435 behind it and a divorced TC, jacked up 5" or so sitting on 33" BFG's
fucker is a tank and never been stuck with the torque of the 302 and 435 together, its hard to beat.

e
i used half a tank to get to Gaylord and back north of Petoskey, lol. ya it sux with a 4bbl,i fill up every 4 days, but in the summer and fall its so awesome to have a jeep with the top down.
get a little medicated and hit some two tracks, i mean I dream of doing this someday when its legal ;-)

Google Wycamp Lake, thats a great spot to meet up in the spring/summer.

97 Wrangler. 33s, tummy tuck, rock sliders, heavy duty bumpers. It's fun to bash around on the rocks and get off the beaten path.

Edit: not from Michigan though...

We are a two Jeep family...

'05 Wrangler Sport and an '01 Grand Cherokee Limited

The first brand-new vehicle I ever bought was a '91 Wrangler. After we sold that we missed it until we got the '05...

I used to own a 1984 wagoneer (pre-cherokee), with an inline 4 cyl. That was one tough lil piece of shit! Got it used for 500, replace master cyl on chutch, it went out again. Ended up driving it for 6 month with no clutch. Carried a spare battery in case we go stuck in traffic. Nothing worked, all the wires were duct taped in there and it could go anywhere!
