The million dollar question

The answer to this is not a million dollars though. But a very appreciative guy with a giant thank you is up for grabs. Tempting, I know.

Anyways. I'm planning on doing a grow with 1-2 plants. Mostly 1 plant at a time. Its only for personal use. I am also going to incorporate the SCROG method to get the most out of my girls. I am torn, as well as other people seem to be, between a 250w HPS or a 400w HPS. The space I am using will only be big enough for 3 plants in 3-eight inch pots. The dimensions are somewhere around the ballpark of 22inx15in. I was going to do a 3x3 with a 400w but I don't need that much space for myself.

Any help would be great. No help would be understandable.

I've also been torn between the two. it's thought that I have a little more room than you? for me, it's either the 400 W, or 600 W. I'm on a budget, and I found this to be helpful. High Tech Garden Supply I thought the price was right, and everything is included. my only concern is, I'm going to be growing in a closet, and I was a little concerned about exhaust. I have no plans to cut into my walls, and lay fans all around the place. I don't know if my bulb will get too hot for the space, or not? I like it when the ballast, bulb, and reflector are an all in one unit. makes sense, and I can seem to find a lot of them. my main concern is heat.

If you have money for exhaust then get a 600 watt, if your on a budget but can afford decent ventilation then get the 400 or even ghetto ventilation..

If you just downright cant afford ventilation then get the 250.

If I do get a 400 watt I will definitely be using the air cooled reflector. The problem with this budget scenario is this; If I get a 250 watt - I can afford ventilation. If I get a 400 watt - I can't. I guess you have to spend money now to save money later when it comes to things like this.

Get the 400 with cool tube, it may be enough.

Also A $34 500 CFM suncourt Duct booster sold at Homedepot might do the trick by itself.

Ganjagoddess, or anyone else who actually knows what they're talking about. if I was to purchase the kit I posted the link to before, and just upgraded to a air cooled reflector, or the cool tube... could that just work for venting? I wanna just be able to hang the light in my space, and then completely close it off, with no vent hoses or anything coming from it. would this work, or would it get too hot?

Simple exhaust can be created for $35.00 including hoses and aluminum tape..

Just closing off a cooltube will yeild you no benifiti.
