the 'n' word

how many of y'all are actually comfortable with or have friends that use frequently the word nigga. i had a white friend back in my hs times but never really asked him about. this has been on my mind since i was a teen playin with a girls air bags, i also see it that the word is not derrogitory (did i spell that right) or demeaning term because it doesn't just point out black folks. what i wanna see is other races besides my brothas an hombres feel free to say this word cause it's america right, we the people have the to say what we want not to mention the general global population has niggas living next to you or somewhere beneath inside yourself is one. remember what common sense said "is a nigga yo complexion or is it all in ya mind". whatever you do just don't throw the 'er' only the 'a' that's a mutual rule and that 'er' can save you from a severe or brutal ass-kicking.

oh yeah. p.s. i got really stoned with some friends i became cool with (who are white and asian) and got them to not only feel comfortable around the word, they now freely say it so i've already gotten started with repremending the 1st amendment.

it all depends on the person saying it, and how they mean it.
when i walk up to a group of people and say "wuddup my nigga" to one of my life long friends, and all his black friends stare at me in a amaze-ment, and i just stare back with the same "wtf" kinda face, they get it that im not racist or anything and just part of tha family.
i freely say it as iv grown up with this pretty much part of my life style or culture lol

when im kickn it with the boys, and somone says "whos tha white boy?" everyone elses is like..."wut, weres a white boy? i jus see family bro" lol

i say it all day with black guys, depends on who and where, in fact the one thing ive been shoutin evry mornin for the past 2 years is "nigga im hungry", also we make racial jokes like............... ill be cooking one day b4 we start blazin hard, 1a my boys will say "WHY are you cookin fam were not even burst" ill be like "us white people get ready 4 munchees BEFORE we blaze, u lot blaze, get d munchies, and moan that ur gna die waitin 4 the pizza man" well both crack up den spud each other and light up, its part of everyday language, i find with all the people in the hood its a universal term meaning any guy whos street.

nigga is cool...i have black friends that call me nigga all the time, and i call em nigga right back...its when you say "nigger" they get all pissed..i would prefer them calling me cracka tho. cus I AM the cracker! lol

i really think it just depends on the person sayin it, and the circumstances. even "brother" can be derogatory if you make the situation right, or with me and my friends " you piece of shit white trash" is the same as "ay wuddup bro" hahahaha

that's cuz you're in the UK where there are no "niggas".... only different colors

Here in america, especially down here in the south, "nigga", and "nigger" are the same damn thing coming out of a white mouth.... It takes a bit of respect from the other party to be able to say either down here..

its not really that big of a deal to me or otha black ppl i know but honestly it does make it ackward 99% of the time. its jus seems corny from someone that prolly didnt grow up using it and seem to be using now to get in closer to the crowd... there r so many other words to show ur down. y pick one that has so much negative behind it? jus because balck ppl do? i would say do wat u want but if u tellin ppl to loosly say nigga i would suggest u give them a crash course on what could happen. not everyones nice enough to stop at staring at u.

thanks alot, a hood is a hood and ur not understandin what i mean, if your born and raised in the hood, and ur around other hood people who u r really safe wit, all that crap goes out the window and people say what they like.

Its a complicated subject... and I'm not gonna go into it because I'd be here typing all day. I'd have Carpel Tunnel by the time I was finished with my thoughts on it.

I stay away from it because I was never brought up with it.. None of my friends really use it either, and I'm not about to start saying it to fit in around others that do. Just like I don't start using surfer lingo with people who talk like that, etc...

was this inspired by Chris Rocks movie, "kill the messenger" or something else?

I don't use it around black folks, but jokingly around my white friends in a sarcastic sense.

Personally it's just a word, can be hurtful in the way you say it. But if you slip and say it and your boys are really down with you, it shouldn't be a problem. I've straight up said N-gg-r in front of some black folks but it was at the situation not anyone personally.

My black friends use it all the time around me, and even call me nigga. has no effect on me either way. just another slang lingo in my opinion.

You can be just a demeaning calling someone boy. like "hey boy, get over here boy"
