This is the Opium and only opium thread, not interested in discussing anything you can make from opium and shoot into yourself that'll kill you, just opium.

This plant commands alot of respect, so much that I never even thought I'd try Opium, but I've found smoking it a few times a year (if that) is quite pleasant. As long as one does not seek it out or smoke it too often, it can be a great way to relax. It smells fantastic.


I wouldn't want to have it around all the time though, that could get dangerous.

Moderation is key with this plant.

it comes from opium poppies

the seeds of which can be purchased readily online and occasionally in some stores

there are a few threads floating around here about cultivating poppies.
It is quite easy.
and rewarding.
and legal in most countries.
seeds can be bought at many places including ebay.

You can also make poppy tea.
you can also order pods online if you are to lazy to grow.

Yeah , i have heard of people ordering the pods as well . it's amazing how you can buy things that are illegal when extracted yet, so easy to get.

Most people make tea from the pods[ easiest method] so i'm told....

never had real opium before

however, a buddy had an old opium hookah that had belonged to his great great grandmother, we scraped the resin from it, the resin was a surprisingly bright yellow, we got 2 film containers full

i remember putting a tiny bit over the top of a bowl of fine santa cruz green bud, we watched the doors movie, man we were going in and out of being in a dream but being in the movie, walking around in the desert with jim morrison and that native american dude, super trippy dream state stuff while you're quasi-awake

glad we never abused it, just had a it a few times, it was very pleasant, we were always careful about it's addictive qualities and fortunately nothing bad happened with it

i could see myself having a flower, it would be nice and quite pleasant to have once in a blue moon

I find that smokeing salvia followed by smokeing DMT, produces the thickest of opium vibes afterwards, you literaly drift in and out of that state you mentioned above for about 2 hours.
I had terrible guilt feelings as I recognised the personal withdrawal etc from previous chemical addiction, but it felt realy good too. Salvia supposedly does not work on the regular opiod receptors (mu I think), but rather on the other one (kappa?), never been realy interested that much in pharmacology, but anyway, it is strange that the two can be made to feel so much alike.

The golden rules for using opium and derivatives are, never more regularly than every 4 days, never more than a quarter gram opium on that day. Start as small as you can, cause you will build up tollerance.
Best bet is to stay away. I realy suggest you grow a few and produce it if you want to try it. Once you buy it, your brain learns a shortcut to finding more based on your wallet, rahter than the season and rationing.

even if they are legal in your area, they tend to become illegal the moment you start scarring them to bleed opium resin. SO, you will want a few, and only scratch the side thats away from the public eye.

Fuck salvia..... That shit put me thru my tv screen, where i met a scientist and Al Capone. all they kept saying was [ OHHH, your not suppose to be here ] In my head i was thinking " NO SHIT".. Lol, you shoul dhave pointed out to them that they were not supposed to be there either. I know, easier said than done, I seem to regress into a 3 year on the stuff... everything is new and overwhelming to some extent.

But yeah, I smoke it mainly to predose for DMT... busy drying some syrian rue extracts at the moment, so I will play with those next to see if something similar can be achieved.

Alsofor the opium lover I suggest Kratom tea... very nice stuff.

True, I think stimuli deprivation is even more important for salvia than DMT.

Anyhow, I'll be doing a grow journal in starting in about about 2 months in autumn, then allowed to go dormant until spring.

OH YA when i smoked salvia i had rediculas anime on and that sent me out into like a rob zombie carnival and id flash between trip world and the real world weird shit, so far it's the only thing iv done that made me lose control over my urges like the one to twist down into the floor any one else have that?

I'd grow it for my own medicinal purposes, but not recreational use...I don't seek it out for recreational fun, but if someone I know has it, I'll definitely get some. I tried it for a headache the other day, didn't work so well.
