I live in a very cold climate and it gets difficult at times to re-create a tropical environment indoors when there is constantly a foot or two of snow outside.
I have to use a space heater in my bedroom to keep the temperature around the 80 degree mark. It's easy to do but the problem is that every time I get the heat to where it should be, the humidity drops about just as much as the heat rises. Obviously the heater is drying out the air but without it the room would be too cold. If my temp is at 80, my humidity uses drops to 25. If I bring my humidity up to 40 by leaving the heater off for a little while and using some buckets of water, the temp typically drops down to 65.
Does anyone have an idea for a way around this? I'm sure there's something I'm missing.
