I appreciate your time, input, and pics! Everything is useful.
Can’t say ive had a problem with mold. But spider mites is another thing! Our duplex is surrounded by vegetation and I sometimes have my window open and also have a dachshund who likes to help my garden. Everytime I open the cabinet she comes running in the room to see what is going on and hopes to get a leaf or two  for some reason she thinks leaves are like treats lol
My ladies are currently late week 4. I recently switch to coco as I find it cleaner, more sustainable, and holds water better than the happy frog soil I was previously using. I bought another tent to expand my grow area. I was considering building the dwc bucket diy I found from rumpleforeskin on gardenscure. I just am kind of hesitant because hydro is less forgiving than coco/soil. I find that indicas/ hybrids work best for cabinets, but ideally a plant that stays short without to much top foliage as the lower nodes needs exposure also. The og strain I have is real hearty but the leaves are super fat whereas the dj shorts blueberry closely resembles the og but has slightly thinner leaves allowing more light to penetrate. I recently encountered some spider mites :/ shit is scary! To combat and kill them I use ultra pure by prescription treatment.

I was wasting money on that bs safer soap spray that didn’t get rid of any pests!! I would recommend this to everyone. Although it kills beneficial organisms killing the pests is top priority. I spray the bottoms of the leaves with a one gallon pressure sprayer. Way easier then using a regular spray bottle plus able to get a lot better coverage. I let the oil/water mixture soak in a bit then rinse it off with fresh water espically if I have to once into flowering. The active ingredient, petroleum oil was the only thing I read or found that actually does the job. I recently started brewing my own actively aerated compost teas to help promote stronger growth and eventually rely less on organic fertilizers to supplement what the lack of bio-diversity in soil didn’t offer but soon will. I am using ancient earth by GH and supplement that with azomite molasses and seaweed extract. Letting it brew for 15 to 24 hours then drenching and foliar feeding. I had a trainwreck plant that wasn’t growing, had super red steps and hardish leaves. Gave it a little azomite and the next day or two a few new green shoots shot out. Must have helped! I plan on watering weekly, using plain water one feeding, tea the next, and finally a little organic nutrients to do what the bacteria and fungus can’t.
I recently bought a 4 inch centrifugal fan to replace my 20 year old dual Dayton blowers that were used to exhaust the cabinet. This fan pulls air through two charcoal filter approx. 18x8 each and the air through the light fixture. Temps are hovering around low 80’s when lights are on.
I am pulling air out of the room and exhausting outside through a 4 inch duct.
The light is sealed and exhausted separately. All exhausts connect to one 4 inch centrifugal fan to send it all outside. before it wasn’t vented outside and the heat from the 400w light and electrical ballast made the room temp a little to uncomfortable.
On another forum someone also suggested adding co2 but with this little space I have I would rather wait to do that once I actually had more space.
