The police know how to read gang signs and you can't be too white!

I searched the gang MLD. Their gang hand sign is giving the bird and a straight out pinky. The super heroes are too white and blonde, which doesn't represent Chicago. If I were both winners, I'd return the prize and would tell the contest judges to fuck themselves.

The gang task-force officers are surprisingly adept at reading gang signs and grafitti. The standard beat cop not so much unless they happen to be in a heavy gang area in my experience.

dude i grew up with everyone of my friends either being a latin king or a royal. And the truth is you dont need a gang a gang needs you. once you become one you are fucked as a criminal if thats what you are you are immediately entered into the system as a banger cops stop you you are pulled out of the car searched the cops are way more suspicious of you and do something wrong longer sentence and tougher prison. you can not be in a gang and still be a gangster and still command respect and have a decent future without having to get killed by a rival be original and strong

Try now. Notice the hands look exactly the same as a public school art handout. The police didn't even question the kid nor teacher. I'm sorry, but fuck the biggoted police.

It kinda sounds from the article like not only the police but many in the community kinda dropped the ball on this one. If the hands on the drawing did in fact resemble gang signs the kid clearly said he would've been willing to alter the drawing as that was not his intent.

poor kid. this will effect him the rest of his life no doubt, what a huge let down. i dont think you should blame this on police in general though. it was specific blogs from some that made the allegations. you cant hold that against the whole police force. which hands on the pic are the supposed gang sign? ive been looking at the inner 2 and looking at the white hand it clearly has the pointer finger up while the gang sign has the finger down. in fact as far as i can see all of them have the finger up.

kind of weird how they like to use backwards swastikas imo. i wonder why they chose to put that in their symbols.
