The Problem in America is Big Government

I hardly need you to explain business and profits. I own a business, i employ people. I guarantee I pump more $ into the economy than you do, so save the bullshit talking points for someone else thats gullible enough to buy that bullshit.

America IS NOT an upwardly mobile country to the extent it was generation or 2 ago. When salaries and average income are STAGNANT how is their upward mobility?

My "assumption" is not that trickle down economics DOES NOT work. It hasnt, it isnt and it will never. This has nothing to do with govt regulation (nice bullshit bumper sticker) it has to do with those at the top prospering more and more while the vast majority stay at the same level. Lemme ask you something.

If a company sees an increase in profits of say 10%, increases its salary to those few at the very top and does nothing for the majority of workers, how is that trickling down?
We are both business owners. That is how you become upwardly mobile in America. Or you keep moving up in a corporation or business. You did it, I am doing it, millions of other people do it.

How would you feel if in your current business the government came in and told you that you have to pay everyone 5% more plus provide healthcare? Would your business still be profitable?

Exactly, wanna know how I did it?

With ASSISTANCE from the evil government!! Mauahaha

I served in the Corps,, got paid by the evil government, went to college w/ assistance from the evil government, bought our house w/ GI financing too :-)

Just so you know, as my business profits rose I paid the artists more. They are all independent contractors, but I pay them extra via bonuses. They also get a higher percentage than any shop in my area. The result, i have an awesome group of people that are family to me and my family. When I got sick they took care of things, the shop never skipped a beat. I keep the people that work for me happy and in return I have profited more. The business has grown each year Im proud to say, also proud to say that as I have made more $ I made damned sure my artists do too.

I contribute to their health insurance, dont need the government to tell me what the right thing to do is.

I am not asking whether you need the government to tell you do do the right thing.

I am asking you whether the government forcing you to pay them 5% more and pay for ALL their healthcare would sink your business.

Most businesses do the right thing.

I don't know why everyone is so interested in limiting government? Government needs to step in where free markets fail, and with a small government you need honest people. I like the idea of giving states more freedoms of some things, but that could lead to problems as well.

Hello theouncelor,

I'm going to have to disagree with you.

USA = Largest debtor nation, highest prison population, most militaristic country in the history of the world.

Free markets ? I think you may be mistaking things here. There aren't "free markets" in the USA. They are regulated and ensure crony capitalism continues.

Freedom isn't "given" by government and never was, it is only restricted or extinguished, it is part of their business model under any system of government or political party.
