In the last few months of the Bush admin, intelligence emerged showing that there was an active alqaeda base in Yemen that was a threat to the government there. Obama has known this for a year now, but has ignored it. Why? Because of his plan to release 60 Gitmo detainees to Yemen. Now in the wake of the Christmas Terrorist, Obama is between a rock and a hard place. He can pretend there is no problem in Yemen, and essentially send them reinforcements. Or, he can acknowledge that he can't really close Gitmo at all. I'm sure he'll do the right thing for our safety and not base it on politics, LOL!

Hysteria much?

The US military has over 1.4 MILLION active personnel, another 1.4 MILLION in reserve...

70 terrorists get sent to Yemen...

...I think we'll be fine.

So lets go stick our nose in Yemeni affairs and create even more terrorists. Yep, fantastic plan!

Americans don't create terrorists, terrorists create terrorists. So yeah, lets send the seeds of terror out on the winds and pretend like they're sterile seeds, which could never produce more noxious, seed producing weeds, the world over...yep, fantastically naive plan. I'm sure we'll do it, under the tutelage of the master of diplomacy, POTUS Hussein.

Our armed forces are not in dire need of additional enlisted personnel, they're in dire need of conviction, exhibited by the Commander in Chief. Today's epic battle is for the heart and soul of America, politically. I'm already currently enlisted, as are you, Johnny Reb.

Has anyone else noticed that all but maybe two or three of these guys are ugly with one being arguably good looking? I can't help but find this interesting. Maybe this shows that people in general treat ugly people poorly. I wonder how many of these guys were miserable aside from being extremist nuts.

I'll give long odds that Obama will not have the political guts to send any Gitmo-ees to Yemen. What wants a piece of that action?
