That time of the year again here.

This will be my 3rd season but doing things a little different this time around. I have started my seeds inside this year, don't know how it will turn out but I'm sure all you rollituppers will be able to point me in the right direction. I am going to be growing 2 plants in my backyard the same as last year but I'm trying to find a spot for a little gorilla grow. I have started 18 seeds under a 4 foot t5 fluro and have them on 16/8 they are 12 days old at the moment but i think i stunted there growth a bit with having the box to hot and the soil got bone dry whilst germinating. All 18 popped though.

the strains i have are as followed.

1 BF liberty haze
3 BF critical kush
5 Bomb seeds Thc Bomb
2 TH seeds Sage
2 TH seeds Sage and sour
5 TH seeds Wreckage.

as i can only have 2 in my backyard I'm looking for opinions on which 2 to pick as they will be the most well cared for. Anyone have any first hand experience growing any of these strains?

My plan is veg them inside until the end of october and then harden them off to go outside. I normally just start them outside around now but was looking to give them a head start, I'm wondering if it was the right move now. Although the spring weather at the moment is terrible.

I will be planting the plants in a mix of soil, potting mix, mushroom compost, cow manure, perlite and dolomite lime and feeding with a fertiliser yet to be decided, also worm juice and seaweed concentrate.

by the end of the month when i plan to bring the plants outside the daylight hours will be 13h 30m and getting longer by a few minutes each day, Will the plants flower?

Thanks and look forward to any input. thenugget

Not to much to update on, plants are growing slow as fuck! will be a month tomorrow and they are super small. Pissed off that i let the tent get so hot the first few days. They are still about the same the same size as my small plant last year on the same date, plus i have 16 more this year so not to worried.

I haven't fed them at all yet as they are so small, they are due for a water tomorrow so I'm thinking a 1/4 strength feed should kick them along.

Think i will start hardening them off next week to get them outside for good.

Daylight hours are showing 13.07 minutes and going up 2 minutes a day for the next month. Will my plants flower going from 16 hours inside to that?
heres a few pictures. cheers

I would cut the lights back to 15 hrs & keep the plants in to as long as you can. Putting out the biggest plant you can, as late as you can, works really well....good luck, they look beautiful.....

yay!

i loved reading through your thread last year. i could almost feel the sun on my face and grass in my toes even when it was 35 degrees fahrenheit and pouring rain around here.

i will be living vicariously through your grow this winter as well.

five stars and repped.

how close are you keeping them to the light? also some bigger pots would help them grow faster. good to see your starting up over the ditch

I have the light about 1 inch from the tops, they are finally starting to catch up and growing nice now. I don't have room to repot them until they go outside, will probably start hardening them off in a weeks time and then straight into the ground, so they have about another 2 weeks in the pots they are in. they should explode when re-planted. cheers

Awesome plants you have going there. The THC Bombs will do you right. And yeah they'll surprise you when they take off. I kept my first containers small last round and had them in solo cups til they hit 6 nodes. Gave em the Uncle Ben chop. They went into ground a week later. They stayed small and were pretty much rootbound in the cups. It made it easier for transplant. Just made a small cut on the tops of the cups and they peeled right down. The roots held the soil intact and didn't disturb them one bit. They took right off.
I'll be paying attention to this thread as well to hold me off through winter. Those are looking beautiful though. I hope they all grow to be big busty amazon ladies

thanks monkey grinder.

So plants are doing alright i started hardening of 4 of the plants the other day they will come inside tonight and then out for good tomorrow, ill see how they go and if they don't flower i will take the rest out , if not atleast i have a little more room in the tent to maybe repot a few of them. dug some holes in the backyard today, can't wait to get them outside under the sun but the weather has been pretty average lately anyway.

UPDATE.

so all plants are outside now, I ended up planting a fimmed thc bomb and a critical kush which has been topped in my backyard and also will keep a sage in a pot. Didn't really want to do a guerrilla grow with all the plants so have given a few away.

Ive given 2 each to two friends and then setup a 4 plant grow in another mates backyard and will split the yield. Took 7 plants out to the bush and planted them and will see how they go, they are in 50 litre pots with the bottoms cut out into holes that are filled with good soil.

weather is starting to get better high 20s (celcius) and sunny yesterday so hopefully that stays around and the plants can start to flourish.

cheers

before they all went.

time for an update its been a while! I have had a horror run.. plants have root aphids and fungus gnats! they are still growing but look retarded. I have done a few soil soaks with neem oil but they are still there, anyone know how to get rid of these fuckers? From what i have read its very hard. Luckily the plants out in the bush are all looking awesome with no pests or problems. will get some photos when i next head out, heres a few from the backyard. Cheers
