Our new room is all set up ready to roll. this time we bought a kick ass outtake fan to bring out the heat, we duct it out of the room to the up stairs. It works great ( almost too good) Need to know if we can somehow hook up a thermostate to this thing so that it goes off at certain temp rather then running all the time. any answers ????

Is that your only exhaust? I wouldn't ever stop my exhaust totally, maybe ramp it down when the lights are off.................Maybe you need a speed controller?

Well we have 3 fans blowing the air around constantly . its a cement room. with the 4th wall only being a half wall, and the rest of that wall is false malar wall with a zipper through the middle as an entrance. whats a speed controller?

first off it is a "thermostat" not thermostate. and yes with a little electrical work you can. you need a 120volt relay or whatever voltage your running your fans, and the other side of the relay has to be 24volts for the thermostat. get a cheap digital thermostat and wire the relay so that when the thermostat calls for cooling it switchs the 120volt circuit on. and when the thermostat cools down its kills the 24 volts to the relay tuning off the fans. the relay is acting like a light switch. wire the thermostat to the "Y" and "R" terminals
