These Won't Finish like Haz', but I'll Give it a GO

Oh, I decided to join the 600 club and crowd.

Using my legal paperwork, I went and bought a Secret Jardin DR120 II, the 4x4 with a height of 6'7". 600 watt Lumatek, Radiant AC reflector, Phresh filter, Sunleaves 409cfm going out, and 160 coming in. Temps around 77. Ran ducting from the top of the tent from the Muffler, and vented out the side of my house.

Running some OPN, Moby Dick, 747, and a Kandy Kush.

My pardner in this runs his 400 for our vegging early...clones or seeds. Between the two of us we might stagger through. This will not end up with Haz quality bud porn. This probably will be PG-13, but it will get better over time. I learn pretty fast.

Strapped the carbon filter to the upper left part of the tent with zip ties...big ones. Suspended the fan with ties and set the muffler right on top and hose clamped it. Ran the ducting from the muffler and out to the vent in the wall.

I got the voodoo action figures for protection, I've smoked Jack Herer in the tent with them. I christened them with a little cocktail of water and ocean farms.

They are sleeping now.

Grade me Haz.

Hahaha, I like the action figures! I am medicating with some hash right now, and enjoying this setup! Looks like a good initial setup, man. I am sure you have a temp/humidity meter in there, so just watch your temps, and troubleshoot any issues, and you will be great!

I think you will end up with some awesome bud porn, man! I am a believer that if you put energy into your plants, and really care for them, they will return that energy to you. Cannot wait to see the updates here! Subbed for sure, man! Good luck! + rep for the effort!

I'm on the week 2 feeding schedule of FF, but the girls are older clones. I'll probably switch to flower at about 24 inches or so. The 747 sativa is the smallest of them all at around 10 inches. The tall Moby Dick's are about 14.

The temps have been in the low 70's and the humidity in the mid 30's. The one Moby Dick has a large branch or co-stem, and this girl could produce like Lindsey Lohan the night after rehab.

You know, I'm not really happy with the intake fan situation. Using a EcoPlus 160cfm fan pulling air into the tent. I have decent negative pressure since I'm using a 400cfm extraction fan. The little fan justs sits kind of wobbly in the Secret Jardin port sleeve. I have a ratchet hangar keeping it from falling out. Light can seep in via the fan through the diameter...so I'm covering it until I come up with a plan.

Guess I could put a damper on one end...could use a little flexible ducting but I like it as clean as I can with gear outside the tent. I've seen little boxes used on the inside of the tent to support the fans bottom. I dunno...what say you vets?

I was running low on meds so I started out for a co-op. I passed up ommProviders as the donation amounts are a little stiff. I did honk as I drove by though. I ventured up to Cannabliss and there were 3 growers there. I ended up with a qtr of Red Skunk for 40. Grabbed a little of Banana Haze. Good color and taste on the RS for an everyday smoke, nothing you'd break out for Sheen. The BH is pretty mild, and you might want to save that for your asshole relatives.

A couple of early observations:

747...typical sativa leaves, but very faint in color. Very slow grower, but I do have numerous new growth. Smallest of the batch.

Moby Dick...healthy, big and robust. Probably will yield well, but we'll wait on the taste and trip.

Hanna Ph meter...all I get is a "1" for the calibration test. Maybe the button sized batts are weak/bad. This thing might get shot by sundown tonight if the replacement batts don't correct the situation. Hazo, what kind of Ph have you found in the PDX area?

Broke out the last of Hazo's Ice Anomaly. Had just enough in the grinder to get that "coffee" smell, and enough for a small bowl. IA loves me, and I love IA.

i think you should flower them before they are 24 inches tall, when flowered those plants will be huge and the light wont penetrate near far enough with 1 600.
it is a nice set up you have.
also be care full with the fox farm feed chart. IMO it it would be best to make your own feed schedule if the FF chart doesnt work out all that great, some strains like high nutes some like low.

Hey, man! Glad to hear Ice Anomaly has impressed you! Plants look nice, I might recommend a little pruning down low if you want to grow them much taller. Taking off the bottom branches will help keep the canopy getting plenty of light. I think McPurple may be right, though. With a 600 watt, those things will stretch quite a bit, and you may just want to flower very soon, here, instead of a good pruning.

Overall, things look very promising! Cannot wait to see these finish!

I had to shoot the digital Ph meter. I went back to old school with the drops. Now all I have to do is distinguish between the similar colors...is it closer to this...or this?

Hazo and McPurp, you guys are probably right. It seems logical for me and to switch to 12/12 soon, if not now. I am in no hurry whatsoever. I just want things to run smooth, level ph, good temps, a clean grow room and the rest will arrive by summer. The Moby's are close to 16 or 17, the Kandy Kush about 15, the OPN's are around 12, and the runt (747) is trailing in at about 11.



Temps are still great around 72 and low 30's on the humidity dial. With numbers like that I've found they just aren't that thirsty...yet. I was hoping to flower on May 1 but that leaves a whole week of growing and they might just get a little too tall. Here is the birds eye view of the Kandy Kush, who is about 16 inches tall. She was voted Colorado's favorite medicinal medicine, but I don't remember what year. I don't mind a fruity or citrus taste on the draw, I just don't care for it all the time.

How's everybody elses farming doing? haha I only wish that the coffee I smell brewing in the morning was instead some of Hazo's IA.

Starting into the stage that is fun. I switched over to 12/12 last Sunday, so we are in week 1. Had to use Ph down for the water out here in the Milwaukie area. Out of the tap I was getting around 8 to 8.5 It took about 5 or 6 drops per gallon of Ph down to get me into playing condition. Decades ago when I lived in Troutdale, I think we had to get the "Ph up"...

.....That is my large hand and the one leaf that kind of concerns me. It is the "747" from Dr. Greenthumb. Apparently it is a cross between Iranian Landrace and Northern Lights. I really like NL, but I've never sampled the Iranian. I thought I'd score at least a cross of something Iranian before the place turns to glass.

The leaf...it is pale and the color is kind of feathered. When I picked her up at a local club she was the same pale color as of the other day. She is planted in FFOF and I'm using the FF nutes. Mostly half strength until the other day. I can't find a picture of 747 but there is some indication that she goes by Big Bud 747...I dunno. Big Bud is what the name suggests...a decent bud that fills your bag.

I think she may be lacking Nitrogen and maybe some other little tidbits. I went full strength last feeding and she definitely liked it...leaves got a little darker green, and the color seems to be spreading throughout the plant. Maybe I guessed right?

The Moby Dick's...I believe aren't the Stoney Girl variety, but I'm not sure. It was an independent grower who brought some clones into ommproviders...unless he used SG seeds...But the plant is solid, well balanced, and has all the makings of a large yielder. I'm already touching tent.

Oh...if you are in the market for some clones, I did see a large batch down at ommproviders on McLoughlin. I saw NYC Diesel, Sour Diesel, Grapefruit Kush or Haze (can't remember), Super Lemon Haze (I grabbed one to replace the lingering death of the blueberry clone over at my buddies house). There were a bunch that just came in that didn't have labels yet...but I didn't care as all I needed was 1 to keep me legal.

All in all I can't really complain so far. Temps around our area have been cool so the temps in my tent are low 70's. The A/C reflector and venting outside really is sweet. I swear I could get my plants to within a few inches without burning them. I would be concerned about the "intensity" of the Hortilux on plants that close. That bulb is the bomb. Did you all read the thread that compares the Hortilux that was 2 years old versus a brand new UltraSun? bwahahaha. If you're running a cheaper bulb, go over and check his pictures out...

How is everybody else doing? I sure hope the Lemon Haze turns out to put a smile on my face. If it does, I'll make sure it is a staple in my grow room. If anybody knows the whereabouts of a nice healthy Jack Herer clone then I'd be set for the summer.

I think today is day 20 of flowering. I can tell a few things are noticeable different than 25 years ago. That Hortilux bulb really hits all the sweet spots and the buds are all over the tent. This pic is of Ali one of the Moby Dick's. A well balanced plant with plenty of room for light, she will probably produce fine. I did smoke some Moby Dick that I picked up from ommproviders awhile back...and I found it kind of average. Mild, faint taste and an uneventful high.

The sativa called 747 is the runt in height, but as advertised she has a high bud/leaf ratio. I will get more pictures of the crew a few weeks down the road. I kind of find the most boring parts of a growing storyline is either the veg stage or the first couple weeks of budding.

I did a stoner move a few days ago and accidentally broke off the top 3 inches of Drew one of the OPN's. I was pulling her pot out to run a stake and a little trim job when the brain seizure occurred. I remember being careful to make sure I lifted her up past the flap of the tent when "CRUNCHPOP". I knew it wasn't a good sound...when I got the plant out I saw the severed head laying amongst the canopy leaves. Lopped off...a 2 week topping in flowering was not my plan. Luckily a bud was at the break site so it might turn out to be the new top cola.

My pard has the super lemon haze clone growing at his location. Our plan is to clone it and maybe run a couple of plants in the next few grows. He had one blueberry clone but it looked like it was only 3 days from popping soil from a seed grow...I wouldn't have ever cloned one that small. We had health insurance on that baby and it will be replaced at no replacement cost.

The dr120 tent has been GREAT. Totally light tight and my setup and as of today, no problemo. The 600 watt has been solid and I'm pretty happy with the coverage in the 4x4 tent. The Phresh filter/Sunleaves fan cranks out the stink and heat...no smell in that room until I unzip the tent flaps. I've got the ONA block in the hallway and all is well within control.

I plan to grow throughout the summer. The house is air conditioned and this spare room is in the basement where it is even cooler. When the outside hits 100 and my ambient air is around 75, I still think my temps will be under 80. If I was in an non a/c house, on a main floor...I don't think I'd grow during the summer. It's hot...sticky...and the last thing you want is some kush dankness, or a ripe sour diesel to take over the cul de sac.

I picked up some Strawberry Cough a few weeks ago from Cannabliss. Since I had spent so much jack on my tent toys I was reduced to the weekly special...the SC. This wouldn't be a medicinal smoke, imo. Way too weak and it barely stubbed the usual morning nausea that I have. Another smoke that won't be a keeper.

I want the ghost of Jack Herer to visit me...

On the Strawberry Cough, are you sure it wasn't the grower, and not the strain? I sure hope so, as this is one of the strains I am supposed to get for my meds on the first. That and Bubblegum. I have read good things about both, but have never tried either to my knowledge I am hoping it is good. He gave me a small sample of his last crop HashBerry, and it was very nice indeed. Anyway I digress, I'm hoping your sample of Strawberry Cough was just done by a not so good grower, and that my grower does a better job with it

I got a quick energetic high but it faded like a fat dog in the heat. It was one of the strains that some grower would allow it to go for 160 buck donation fee. It looked pretty good in the bag tho. I didn't taste any strawberry but I did get the "cough".

Sometimes it is about the grower, sometimes it is about the phenotype. Strawberry Cough, from my understanding, is going to be a nice, anti-anxiety high, but not super potent. I am not an expert on Strawberry Cough, but I am curious to get together with Luther and Zild to try out the Strawberry Cough, when he has some ready. I sure am ready for another harvest. Hey, Luther, I have a Master Kush plant that I will probably be getting rid of, do you want it? I would just have you reimburse me for the container it is in and maybe soil? Anyways, it is VERY ready to flower, so if you want it, I may be getting rid of it. I have another Master Kush that I will be using for a mother. Hope all is well!

I will be happy to share some of the Strawberry when I get it, and Luther can than decide if it was the grower, or the strain. I sure hope it was the grower LOL

And I'm just not a fan at all but I'll smoke it as it is all that I have right now. Plus I'm do for a short system flush on old Luth anyway. Take a few days off and force back the tolerance devils.

Hey, maybe we should all get together and do a group tolerance clenze...take a year off or so, what say you stoners?

Yeah, that's a tub of vasoline. Bud porn does it to me. Day 25...This plant is that 747 a sativa. She's resting on a storage tub to stay canopy level with her sisters. But she has a ton of buds all over. She's my favorite. She really digs the nasty talk and enjoys just a little extra tiger bloom in her cocktail.

im just wondering what bulb you are using, i dont remeber seeing it listed. those ladies look good enough to eat!!!
