Think a Police Helicopter may have spotted my plant..

I have a single Frisian dew plant in a pot my back garden (London) that I planted in early April. It did have a friend but that suffered an unfortunate snail attack in the early stages, so now I have one. It's currently just over 3 feet tall and generally seems to be doing pretty well.

Last night I was sitting at my desk when I suddenly thought "wow that helicopter is loud" - So I went outside to take a look. A yellow MET helicopter was hovering directly over my house. Police Helicopters in South london are not uncommon, but It then proceeded to loop around 6 or so times, each time flying directly over my garden.

I don't really want to panic and chop the thing down, but also I'm also thinking they probably spotted it and are currently rubbing their hands thinking they have a major weed farm on their hands or something. I don't really want my flat being raided just for a single plant.

Has anyone been caught growing outside in the UK? What happened? does the amount you are growing matter?

A single plant isn't worth their time mate. If they decided to collar you for it you will get a caution at most.
My guess for a single plant in your back garden they would come round laugh about it and make you dig it up and kill it and then go have a bacon sarnie and laugh about it some more.

Chances are they were looking for a twoc run away who may have jumped a fence and been lurking in a garden.

It would only take a single pass over to photo your plant and confirm it so I doubt they would have to pass over several times.
If they gave a shit then they would of just sent uniform round straight away.

Any leo will prioritise certain crimes depending on the area, im sure as shit London law enforcement do not have a single plant grow anywhere on their list of priorities. Too busy with real crime.

and yes the amount you grow plant count wise is directly related to the punishment and how it is interpreted in court.

Off the top of my head 8 plants or less is deemed personal, over 24 and they can say its intent to distribute .

Frisian dew (ducksfoot) would be hard to identify so you have that going for you!
