I was looking through y plant I'm just itching to harvest. I flushed her last week & I noticed on one of the large coalas some brown. So I looked closer & found near the center what look like rot or something. I found something that looks like seed sacks but are pure white & fuzzy.

These are crap pictures but I only had my blackberry with me. Im going to try to get back today with the Fuji & get some Macro Photos.

If this is rot or mold, do I just cut out the bad parts or is the whole bud toast?

Thanks & will get better pictures

I think when I flushed them in the sink last week (I have other thread ref that) I might have gotten that bud wet. I was going to put it out in the rain to flush but got lots of negative responses to that due to the possibility of bud Rot. I think that's what happened anyways. I looked over all the other buds & its just the one that has it.

To be safe, Im going to harvest her tonight anyways. Still going to leave the other one to go a little longer.

I'm kind of proud of Bud Rot. Never had anything live long enough or well enough to attract mold :) (My glass is ALWAYS half full not empty!) :)

It's all point of view I guess..

what's the temperature and humidity in your grow area? and what ventilation setup are you running?

Too noob to know :) I don't have a thermometer or a humidity gauge. Christmas is a comin though :)

Ventilation is a square fan with a charcoal filter screwed to the intake & it exhaust out the back.. It's at the bottom of the cabinet so it actually draws the heat down to the plants before it leaves.

I will be changing that when I rebuild my cabinet over Christmas.

My whole set up is pretty simple so I get what I get. Once again though.. I will fine tune things over Christmas with the bonus & the 2 weeks off.

I took off all the amber buds at the bottoms but the larger ones don't seem to be darkening. In fact. they haven't done anything for the past 1-2 weeks. They seem to have stalled. Have no idea what to do. I've tested the smoke & its good so that's why I wanted to chop the one down totally. Its Norther Lights & its on week 12 or 13 of 12/12. I know the Miracle Grow soil gave me grief & burned everything to hell so I thought it is what it is.

I don't mind leaving it longer. remove the rot & just keep her & her sister under the 12/12 for as long as it will help.

What is your suggestions?

'Well,' you need to know right now!!
Keep going "not knowing" like this and you're going to end up with fuck all buds to smoke at Christmas. and have the same old mold/fungus shit year in year out:clap:

After further inspection I found 2 of the other coalas had rotting parts. They were in the center of the buds so I couldn't see them until I started trimming.

I got nervous & harvested the whole plant.
I cut out the nasty parts & my haul is drying on a screen right now.
The samples I cut a week ago were good smoking so I figure this will be ok. Never had bud rot before. I will keep a serious eye on my last plant. I'm going to just keep her going until its nice & amber.

IF you missed some, would the bud still be safe to smoke? Smoking mold seems pretty dangerous & I think I would toss it away to be safe anyways.
