Thinking of getting fox farm big bloom.

I've had a lot of posts you guys sent me in other threads and the one person said to get big bloom for flowering.

I can't get all 3 nutrient sets so I could only get one and they said to use big bloom.

It says don't use until week 3 but I am using an autoflower plant so should I start using the big bloom as soon as I can see the sex of the plant or before that?
Thanks guys.

Well from what I can tell Big Bloom is more like an additive than a full fertilizer.

if you notice this schedule they use Big Bloom along with the other main ferts.

Also notice the amounts that have to be added as well.

also here is another thread to read with the same question.

""Actually they are meant to be used together

I think the problem here is that they used the word "bloom" in the name. They shouldn't have. There is nothing about Big Bloom that makes it specific for flowering. In fact, FF recommends decreasing the dosage when you switch from veg to flower.

FF has three liquid ferts: Big Bloom, Grow Big, and Tiger Bloom. Grow Big is for veg and Tiger is for flower. Big Bloom has very little nutrients in it! It is meant to be used in conjunction with other nutrients and contains mostly enzymes, microbes, and food for microbes. It keeps the soil alive and healthy. It feeds the things that feed your plant. So yes, they are meant to be used together and I would only use Big Bloom alone in the first few weeks when the nutes in the soil are enough to sustain the plant.""

Big bloom is basically just a guano/castings bottled tea. It's great for keeping the soil buffered and such but it will not sustain your plant through flowering without additional additives. If you transplant 2 weeks prior to flower with ocean forest then you MIGHT make it through with 8 weekers, if you do not transplant before flower and stick with a nitrogen depleted medium then grow big would be a better choice imo.
