Thinking of Upgrading, WaterFarm any Good?

Hey guys,
So I've been growing in an aerogarden with additional lights and I'm super impressed with the results, but I'm running into an issue with it running out of water. Right now my plants are so big that I'm having to refill the reservoir daily. Someone pointed out a Waterfarm to me:

Pretty much a giant, single plant Aerogarden. However, after doing some research of other General Hydroponic products, I came across this:

This system is sized 2’ x 2’
This system includes:
• 17-gallon reservoir
• Spider drip assembly
• Pumping column
• Insert lid
• Six 6” lid inserts
• Net cups
• CocoTek liners
• Elite 800 air pump
• 1/4” air line
• Hydroton
• Flora nutrients

Now, I'm thinking that this system could easily grow 3 plants since I'm growing two in my Aero right now and they're huge and doing great. Does anyone think that it could handle growing 6 plants? If it could only grow 2-3 I don't think it would be worth the price as I could buy 3 single units for less, but if it could actually handle 4-6 plants then I think I might go for it...

I use the water farms and I love them. I currently have two of them involved in a scrog grow. They are doing awesome. I have no personal experience with the 17 Gal system, but looking at it, you could easily do 6 decent sized plants from clones in that set up.

How often do you have to top the reservoir? I'm often gone for 4-5 days at a time so having a system I can trust working when I'm away is essential. Right now I'm doing ebb and flow but I'm just curious about this unit for mother plants.
4 or 5 days would be too much since the res is only about 2 -2.5 gallons. Here is a link to a wonderful grow using a waterfarm, I believe it will help answer any questions https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/344359-pineapple-express-g13-labs-seed.html
