Thanks
I had a friend tell me to keep it simple when I grow then I found this great site and it backed up everything my buddy told me and number one is never to much always to little you can add at anytime but you cant take away. GREAT ADVICE!!!!
My plan was a Simple one I dug holes in a great location for security under my window but horrible for sun. I planted May 5th I was getting like 5 hours sun light a day til the days started growing shorter, I did not take this into consideration so for the last 2 months my plants are getting like 2 -2 1/2 hours of direct sun light reason they are all reaching for the gate. Anyway I put in some reg. soil from Home Depot.
another tip when using soils with alot of stuff already in it you dont know what your adding to much off. I planted the 2 female 6" clones kept em wet for 2 days then let em dry out till they started to wilt this hardens them (makes em strong) I then gave them only about 2 cups of water every day or other day depending on how hot the weather was.
When they got to be about a foot high I started them on Peters 20-20-20 I got 2 milk jugs and put one teaspoon in each gallon and started watering both plant with a gallon each and mixing in the veg ferts every 7-14 days. again let the plants wilt this lets you know the roots got oxygen no guessing, you know. On June 1st I took 2 clones rooted them for 14 day so June 14 th put it in the ground it was like 5" and did the same rutine.
Aug 9th they showed signs of flower so I hit em one last time with the veg ferts then flushed for 1 week and on August 18th I starter the shults 10-54-10 ferts same rutine on sept 10th I stopped the flower ferts and used Malasses 1 tablespoon to 1 gallon of water once a week. See Simple . Knowing when to make the changes is the tricky part and this site and yall have helped me ALOT!! Thanks
I am no expert but I see my mistakes this year why I only got 6' plants instead of the 10' plants I wanted SUN SUN SUN and I plan on planting 2' plants come March longer growing time will veg em all winter indoors and move em outdoors when the sun is shinning. Also will have the wood support system in place and ready so when the hit the 8' mark pull it over and loosly zip tie it to the board all the way down the line.
Yea wait till next year I'm Growing Trees!!!!
