This is why you should use perlite.

heres my auto himalayan blue diesel, i had everything set and ready had a perfect soil mix all the nutrients needed but i didnt think to add perlite, now i realised what i have done, if you dont use this your plant could turn out very small like this
DSC00131.jpgDSC00133.jpgDSC00132.jpg

remember perlite gives your roots air to breathe therefore you get bigger yields
don't make the same mistake i did.

so now i ordered 4more himalyan blue diesels and 2 auto russian rocket fuel, im going to make sure they go perfectly fine, i am going to germ 1 RRF and change the light to 125w 6500k for veg for da RRF my current himalyan blue diesel will be growing in the same 6500k light, not to bothered about the diesel i am m bound to get a small harvest.

this is pure genetic imo. yes perlite is good but this is from shit genetics. i have had autos do this before.

if you veg and flower these for a long time, you can get a pretty damn good yield from the midget auto dwarfs

Just because the top is dry doesnt mean you water the whole pot.
Just go buy the light mix. It has perlite in it. 85% peat 15% perlite. feed with hydro nutes.

its a auto flower so therefor u cant veg for a long time because the plant starts flowering on its own when it is old enough to ...

thats y they r called AUTO-FLOWERING PLANTS ...

Okay, I didn't mean to say veg. but If you know how to grow, you can make some freaks with that strain. the yield wasn't the effect of no perlite

i would think that by super croping or topping or one of those, that would help in the yeild department /...

i grow autos and i find its best to put them under red spedc lights from the start if you want them to be over 45 cm , i like to keep mine at around 40 to 50 so i start with daylight or blue spec lights for 10 to 14 days cfls and then under red spec on 21 on 3 off. they look great with and average yield of 45 gr a plant.also i noticed most auto strains stop growing in height at around day 30 to 35.

yess it would help but autos are o a tight scedule, by topping the plant thats time wasted for the plant to heal, i will use perlite in my second grow and see if perlite does effect the grow, i may even try topping

thanks man i'll try that when my seeds arrive

lack of perlite in your mix has little to do with these results. while perlite is great for keeping soil aerated, i would have to agree with the posters above who said this is from genetics. ruderalis genes suck next time stay away from them.

Seems to me that little hempy buckets would be perfect for autos....................You would'nt forget the perlite, and you would be amazed what you can get out of a cut down milk jug.......
