Three New Federal Marijuana Bills Introduced Today

The “States’ Medical Marijuana Patient Protection Act,” which has been introduced in past sessions of Congress, would modify federal law so that individuals acting in compliance with state law are immune from federal prosecution. The other two bills – the “Small Business Tax Equity Act of 2011” and the “Small Business Banking Improvement Act of 2011” – have never been introduced before and address critical tax and banking issues faced by medical marijuana centers and dispensaries as they attempt to serve patients, comply with statewide regulations, and pay their fair share of taxes.

In a congress where a foreign White Guy gets more standing ovations than our President, we can only hope to hope.

these bills have a good chance-

if they do succeed, it will prove ernst right in one aspect. do the grow and the commerce will come.

uncle sam wants in on the commerce brought about by the grow. personally i would love to have these protections. the passing of these bills would be the stimulus needed (by me, anyway) to go commercial.
in the sense of a small business, that is.

This is actually encouraging. Any crack in the Fed's legal stance on pot will make it easier to continue. Any precidence set in this area will be a key to unlocking SCOTUS issues. Recall that the Feds are putting pressure on state lawmakers as I type this, to refuse to act on behalf of the patient under possible federal prosecution. These laws would take some of that pressure off of local law makers who are trying to do the right thing but are being threatened.

I answered and you two can cut the crap.
Sorry Ernst. Free country and all that. And you answered nothing. I just find it interesting that you refer to a Jewish individual as "white." You must have a broad definition of white.

riggghhhhtt.. the equivalent of putting your fingers in your ears and saying... "I can't hear you.. la la la la la...."

Asking someone for clarification isn't fighting, Ernst. It's called a conversation.

So I avoid entertaining... Sue me!

The thread is about bills introduced. Think about it before another thread is ruined.

Just finished a consultation with my accountant and asked him about this. He couldn't find a copy of the text, but discussed the implications of this on my business. I've learned that if they don't pass this thing by December, the IRS is going to ass rape me with a chainsaw.
