Just go by the directions that it comes with.

Spray in the evening when it's calm and no chance of rain for a couple days is best. Then it's dry by morning unless you get dew in your area but that dries fast on a nice day. You want the caterpillars to eat that stuff so it kills them off.

Re apply it after rain and ~every 10 days.
