tiny shiny black spots?

Found this on a leaf. Never seen it. Under a scope they are shiny and look like specks of tar.

Looks like minor leaf rot of a maple tree kinda... but I think that is a pest that onlyoccurs on maples.


Only thing i can guess is not enough wind through leaves..

Looks a lot like thrips fecal deposits.

Important to know if it wipes off or not, if it does as above
...put it down to bug shit, if not then it could be attached to the leaf,
....more info required at this point!
