Tips for helping a plant overcome transplant shock.

I just transplanted my root bound lady from a small plastic container to a 3 gallon fabric pot. Unfortunately she was super root bound and I had to pull (I heard some tearing) on the roots to untangle the root ball.

I did sprinkle some Real Growers Recharge into the space i was transplanting into which should help.

What are some things I can do to help her and her roots recover? As well as any advice for helping overcome transplant shock from normal transplanting.

It should be fine. I ull the root ball apart on purpose when I transplant and never have any issues.

I have yet to experience this "Transplant" shock so many talk about. Makes me think they're doing something else that's causing it other than breaking the roots apart.

I always break up the roots and the plants don't miss a beat.

soak in seaweed solution to protect against transplant shock, the amount should b4e on the bottle

You want no stress? Use recycled styrofoam 32 oz cups for seedlings. The cup you get at fastfood places is perfect and I mean perfect size etc. When the plant leaves go about twice the width of the cup and look good use a knife slight the cup down 2 sides and slide the entire plant out. Don't muck with the roots and by all means cut roots in any way. 3 or better 5 or 7 gallon airpot my choice and there you have it. an upgraded none stress plant. water.

I would not poke him. LMAO.

As for myself yes. I''ve done bare root transplants on autos without issue. Also thousands in a greenhouse as hired help. No shock if done gently. And actually good for a rootbound plant. LOL. Just water in slowly and completely with water only. Resume course.

I do it all the time. Cannabis, tomatoes, flowers, etc... I loosen up the roots when transplanting. It's a practice used by gardeners all around the world. There is nothing special about cannabis from other plants. Loosening up the roots and even trimming them shouldn't cause any transplant shock.
