Tips of leaves curling down like a claw

These plants are 1 month and 3 days old in the pictures. Notice the top right hand side of the A4 picture and you can see it well. I`ve read things about this but Im not certain about the cause. There has been no major changes in the feeding. Feeding has been very mild. Aluminum Sulfate and Bone Meal were added last. It got a little cold last night but not below 70 degrees. Could anyone give an opinion or diagnosis?? Too much Calcium?? Never thought Calcium could cause issues such as this. I`ve heard it said, "Just stick`em in the ground and they`ll grow. It`s simple.....BS!! LOL!!

that could just be from the heat if that leaf is closer to a bulb, or maybe there is a problem with your watering schedule . my diagnosis is that if the curled leaf tip bothers you, clip it off, or take off the whole leaf it will be fine, it looks nice and healthy

hydrosoil78, Thanks for a reply. This issue was noticed today. It`s also a first grow so forgive the anxiety. The soil was allowed to get too dry a few days ago but since then the watering has been watched more carefully. I read that this "bear claw" issue can be very bad, like the plant could be dead in a week if the issue isn`t found. That`s what freaked me out. Just wanna be absolutely certain there`s no problem or if there is a problem, how to fix it.

  • Beginning nitrogen overdose.

  • If that is the case then I`m totally confused because throughout the grow period thus far, the only thing that the plants have been fed with N as an ingredient that I am aware of, is MG and there has been only 1 TBSP per plant added in total. If this is the problem, what do I do??? Flush??

That is classic "cats claw" from over fertilizing. It's not serious yet, just don't feed them for a while. I hate to flush small plants because it takes so long to dry out again. I would save that for if they get worse.
