I decided a while back to grow pineapple chunk. Idk why. I have no affiliations or endorsements with BF, this strain just caught my eye for some reason. So of course I ordered it before doing research on it, and man was I depressed. All the information out there on the P.Chunk is that Derry's description is all wrong that it's not an indica dom., the bud are too light and airy and plant stretches WAAAAY too much (which actually is true), and so on. Even the pictures you find of the chunk on riu or online google searches is kinda sad.
Well I didn't like the answers I was getting so I kept looking. Finally I found a site with someone who grew P.Chunk to beautiful fruition. Heres the pics of his/her grow

So why all the hatred for P.Chunk and Barney's out there? I don't blame people being mad at Derry. He says its an indica dom. and that it flowers "to beautiful completion" in 55 days, which, save for one grow I saw, is completely untrue.
But the bad results from these genetics? I blame that all on bad gardening and poor growers. I mean, you can't buy one seed of a specific strain and expect that one seed to represent everything the plant is. It's the reason breeders sell 10 packs. Cause even they know that out of 10 you might get two or three or more phenos! I mean, peope who are buying pick-and-mix or single seeds are really doing themselves a disservice. I know a lot of growers that claim to have grown every popular strain there is but few of them have grown any one strain long enough to get the best out of it.
