To kill or not to kill...

Like a dummy I planted 10 plants in a grow box, first grow and I have learned from my mistakes. The problem is that after going to 12/12 I have about four plants out of ten that are really taking off and smothering the other six. Should I just cut down the other six and rack it up as experience and allow for more light to get to the other four? I am growing in an earth box, great results with size from this and watering has not been an issue the whole grow, just planted too many seeds. I'm for killing off the ones that are dying out and making more room but I wanted some suggestions before doing so. They were bag seeds so no money spent and I was lucky enough to get this giant 3 foot tall sativa female who is flowering all over the place. I figure to take care of the ones who will be taking care of me and giving her and the other bigger plants that are healthy some breathing room.
