To LST or to use Uncle Ben's Method of topping ??

Is one way better than the other when it comes to getting the maximum yield off the plants ?

And stupid question time....Is LSTing just tying down the plants ? or is there topping involved as well ? If anyone can point me into the right direction on the whole LSTing thing, i would greatly appreciate it.

lst is simply pulling the top of the plant over to let the lower side branching catch up, id say lst gives you more colas compares to topping but with topping you can kind of decide how many tops you want, i suppose if you use lower wattage lighting lst'ing is best as there aree virtually no bud sites not getting light.

Also depends if your gonna veg them well when topping ideally you want to give it atleast a week after you top to recover and for the new tops to start growing, if growing 12/12 from seed topping is not ideal as you want as much growth as possible.

As for comparing yields im not sure but im guessing an lst'd plant would win but its all done to how much light and veg time they are gonna get, you can top multiple times to get hundreds of tops if ya wanted and yes you can top and lst together, ive done it and that worked well i had 4 ft plants with a 6 week veg and they were monsters

i try to wake and bake daily ;O) thanks for the input....so if i go LSTing, i should probably start that right out of the gates or is there a specific time....as far as grow room and all goes...small 3x5 closet with 8ft ceiling...only on a 400w HPS running 18 on 6 off...only because my FEMINIZED AUTO ROADRUNNER turned out to be a dick...so i didnt want to drop light time too low from 20 on 4 off and induce flowering...if it even would have being only a 2 hour difference...i have to babies out there...one is alleged feminized pineapple express...and the other i have no clue...my outdoor grow was ejaculated on and i wound up crossing my NLxHaze with some good quality commercial stuff that did its business in 2 weeks time...i mean showed sex and opened up in two weeks and practically wasting this years outdoor grow :s
