to paint or not to paint?

Nearly finished walling off a corner of the basement for a new storage/grow room. Should i paint the drywall and studs white, or leave it as is? I plan on lineing the walls with mylar, but I was thinking painted walls would be more resistant to mold and bugs.

Raw studs and drywall would make it a stealthier room when being used as a storage area, however.

It's a 5'x8' area, though only 5x5 will be used during the growing season.

Buy Panda Film, use it on all vertical surfaces in your grow area.
you can cut it and staple it up then take it down when it's jut a closet.
Remember to put a 1" square of duct tape in any spot you want to staple, this will guarantee a good install.

If your using drywall use "green board" . It's made for mold and water. Used in bathrooms and showers. Flat white paint will work fine if your strapped for cash. Only use flat white no gloss or semi gloss. I would use duct tape for HVAC.
